Reliance Jio is planning to launch Fiber Broadband, TV in 30 cities next year: 


NEW Delhi: Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Jio is likely to launch high-speed fiber broadband (FTTH) broadband in more than 30 cities starting next year.
It has been said in the report that the 4G entrants will bundle their TV service in these cities with FTTH broadband for TL2 and 3 Tier, including homes of 100 million TVs. It has been further stated that jio will cover 5 million households in the first phase of the rollout.
jio, which has already got 120 million 4G wireless customers, has already spread over 300,000 kilometers of optic fiber in the country. The report says that half of this 30,000-kilometer fiber is a long-term contract with Anil Ambani's Reliance Communications.
RIL had earlier said that jio started fiber for home or FTT beta tests in selected areas of 10 cities including Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, Ahmedabad, Jamnagar, Surat and Vadodara. Geophary Network is capable of increasing the speed of data up to 1 GBps.
To connect 100 locations by December till December, the company is identifying high-rise residential apartments and business establishments like Mega Cluster as part of the Phase-II Expansion Program.
It is providing a special router, which adds several devices to a refundable deposit of 4,500 rupees. With a multi-service operator (MSO) license, it will offer TV services, the report says. Testing is based on only one invitation and feasibility
